Business – Accounting

Program highlights

• Learn financial accounting, managerial accounting, taxation fundamentals, bookkeeping, and business software – skills used daily in real workplaces
• First semester courses focus on a common business curriculum, giving you exposure to accounting, management, and economics, which is perfect if you’re still undecided on your career goals
• Upper-level courses dive deeper into accounting principles and applied practices, which will equip you with job-ready competencies that employers value
• As a graduate, you may be eligible for direct entry into the third year of Cambrian’s Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) or Honours Bachelor of Business Administration (HBBA) programs
• Available on campus or online – which is ideal for balancing school, work, or family commitments
• Courses are led by faculty with real world accounting and business experience who understand current industry expectations 

Admission requirements

For graduates of the new curriculum (OSS): Ontario Secondary School Diploma (30 credits) or equivalent or mature student status, including:

• Any grade 12 English (C) or (U)
• Any grade 11 mathematics (C), (U), or (M)

Specific program pathways

Honours Bachelor of Business Administration – advanced standing opportunity

Graduates from this program (or equivalent) meeting a 2.5 GPA requirement are eligible for advanced standing in the Honours Bachelor of Business Administration program and will receive direct entry into year three. 

College or university degree opportunities  

If you are a graduate of this program, you may continue your studies at a college or university and you may receive credit(s) for your prior college education. Refer to Cambrian’s college and university agreement details for further information
