Bridge the gap between business and technology
This intensive program will enable you to advance businesses at the strategic, tactical, and operational levels by improving processes, products, and services through technology. You will become a robust and valuable professional who is confident in bridging the gap between business and technology through your development of exceptional communication, leader, problem-solving, planning, and critical thinking skills.
Gain a thorough understanding of how to perform elicitations, write specifications, create and use models, evaluate opportunities, analyze information, negotiate deals, provide quality assurance, and work through difficult situations.
As a grad from this program, you will be familiar with the global standards for business analysis.

Admissions
Admission requirements
Applicants must be graduates of a diploma, advanced diploma, or degree program from an Ontario College or equivalent.
OR
Applicant must possess five years of work experience in a related field (or combination of education and work experience) as judged by the college to be equivalent. Applicants must submit a resume detailing their related experience and a cover letter outlining their competencies and preparedness for the program (any and all post-secondary transcripts must still be submitted).

Note:
The first 2 semester of this program are 14-week semesters, and courses are offered in a condensed format in two 7-week blocks each semester. Students will take 3 or 4 courses in the first half of the semester and 3 or 4 courses in the latter half as per the schedule below. The 3rd semester is one 7 week block.

Work-integrated learning (WIL)

IVEY Immigration and Employment Services Inc. – The I.T Business Analysis students worked on setting up the infrastructure of an online CV builder and they assisted with the implementation of a new CRM software. They coordinated with the service provider to understand the system requirements, updates and made sure all the existing equipment was capable of having the CRM software installed, and performed all upgrades and updates necessary to make the deployment of the software successful.
Sofvie Inc. – This placement offered the opportunity to explore the data collected within the Sofvie application and uncovered new possibilities with trend identification and alerts. Duties varied from application testing, and troubleshooting, as well as report generation with updated models and analysis strategies; Source new solutions with the team to create the best output options possible. Additional research and training opportunities will be part of the day-to-day.

Part-time pathway
This program can be completed on a part-time basis, with the exception of the work-integrated learning (WIL) component. The WIL component must be completed on a regular/full-time schedule; however, part-time students may request to complete their WIL with a job-out arrangement or seek academic credit for the WIL via the Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) process.

Minimum technology requirements
Success in this program requires that you come equipped with some program-specific technology requirements.
Minimum technology requirements
- A laptop you can bring to class, and a stable internet connection.
- Communication: Webcam, microphone, and headphones/earbuds.
- Operating System: Windows 11 or newer
- Memory: 16 GB (32 GB preferred).
- Processor: Intel-compatible 64-bit.
- Storage: Solid state drive (SSD) 256 GB or larger with 128 GB free
- Battery: 3 hours
System requirements for assistive technology
To access the widest range of assistive technology (AT), a Windows-based computer is recommended.
- Recommended OS: Windows 10 or newer
- Recommended CPU: Intel or AMD multicore processor
- Recommended RAM: 8 GB
- Recommended storage for assistive technology: 8 GB of available hard drive of solid state drive space (please note this is not the total drive size and refers specifically to available space needed for assistive technology)
- Recommended audio: Speakers or headphones for text-to-speech and microphone for speech input.
While Apple computers can provide many AT options, some specialized software may not be available/compatible with this platform. Please consult with the Glenn Crombie Centre for further details.
