Orientation activities are taking place over the next two weeks
SUDBURY – The start of a new year signals the start of another new term at Cambrian College.
The winter semester begins this week with orientation for new international students.
Next week, new domestic students and returning students will be on campus.
There are many activities planned for orientation, including:
- Program-specific academic orientations.
- Social Insurance Number Clinic for new international students.
- Ask Me Desk, in-person and virtually, to help students navigate their way around campus and learn more about student services and facilities.
- Meet and Greet Carnival.
- College and Community Services Fair, where students can learn about how to access the wide range of resources available to them both in Sudbury and on campus.
“Orientation really sets the tone for our new students and it is the spark that helps them settle in, find their footing, and get excited about life at Cambrian,” explains Renee Scott, Cambrian’s director of marketing, recruitment, and student success. “Starting college is a big milestone, and we want every student to feel ready, supported, and confident from day one.
