More than $2,000,000 in scholarships and bursaries!

You don’t need a perfect GPA to qualify for a scholarship or bursary at Cambrian College. Academic achievement is only one of many factors that may be considered. Awards can recognize everything from financial need and community involvement to leadership, volunteerism, your program of study, career goals, personal experiences and more.

Cambrian College and generous donors assist thousands of students annually through our awards program. A diverse range of awards are available to help you pay for college.

Schulich Builders scholarships

Cambrian College is proud to partner with the Schulich Foundation to award Schulich Builders scholarships to students enrolling in eligible full-time skilled trades certificate and diploma programs.

Additional external awards

In addition to the awards offered through Cambrian College, awards from various external sources are posted on our website throughout the academic year.

Students are also encouraged to explore additional opportunities available through Ontario Colleges, which maintains a comprehensive list of awards, bursaries, and scholarships that may be accessible to you. www.ontariocolleges.ca/en/fees-and-aid/awards-bursaries-and-scholarships.

Be sure to search our awards database to review all of the available awards. External awards will include details on how to apply, as they have deadlines and application procedures that are different from internal awards and will not be available through your myCambrian account.

How to apply for awards

Once you become a registered student, all Cambrian College scholarship and bursary applications can be found in your myCambrian account in the “Financing My Education” section on your ‘Student’ tab.

Step 1 – Complete a survey

Log in to your myCambrian account and select Student → Financing My Education. Complete all sections of the Awards Survey and be sure to submit it when finished. The information you provide will be used to determine which scholarships, bursaries and awards you may be eligible to apply for.

Step 2 – Check your eligibility

Within 24 hours of submitting your Awards Survey, log back in to myCambrian to review the scholarships and bursaries you are eligible to apply for.

Be sure to check myCambrian regularly, as new award opportunities and deadlines are added throughout the year.

Step 3 – Complete additional requirements

Some awards require additional information before your application can be considered. This may include a short written submission, community/volunteer information or other supporting documentation.

Review the requirements for each award carefully and submit all required information before the applicable deadline.

NOTE: Some scholarships and bursaries require a faculty reference. When a reference is required, you will be promoted to request one from a professor directly through the awards system.

Step 4 – Track your award status

Scholarships, bursaries and awards have different application deadlines throughout the year. After an award cycle closes, eligible applications are reviewed and recipients are selected. Depending on the award, recipients may be selected by Cambrian College’s Awards Selection Committee or by the donor associated with the award.

If you are selected to receive an award, you will be notified by email. Be sure to monitor your email and myCambrian regularly for updates regarding your applications.
