Wabnode Centre for Indigenous services
Wabnode means the beginning of a new day, a new start, and a new journey.
The Wabnode Centre provides programs and spaces for you to participate in spiritual and cultural activities, and also offers specialized student services.
Access the centre as a student to:
- Connect with friends
- Meet new people
- Get academic advice and counselling support
- Apply for scholarships and bursaries
- Get help working with your community funder/sponsor
The Centre’s Elders and staff keep Indigenous traditions and culture alive at Cambrian and will offer you support and guidance during your time at the college.
We encourage you to self-identify so that we can continue to support you and provide you with information about Wabnode events and activities. You can do this when you apply at ontariocolleges.ca, and in your myCambrian account (see the ‘Personal Checklist’ feature within the ‘Student’ tab.)
Skills you can brag about
Cambrian may be the largest college in northern Ontario, but you won’t feel like you are just a number here. The people are friendly, your instructors will know your name, and we care about your success. Become job-ready through one of our certificate, diploma, or degree programs!
