Your Cambrian experience starts now

You’ve applied to Cambrian (yay!), received an offer of admission (way to go!), and accepted your offer (smart move!). Wondering what’s next?

Here are some steps you’ll need to complete after accepting your offer:

  • Pay your non-refundable $250 term deposit by the due date to secure your spot. This is especially important if your program has a limited number of seats. Get more info on how to pay your deposit.
  • Keep an eye on your email for information about:
    • Paying your deposit to secure your spot on the program
    • Online registration and selecting your timetable
    • Orientation
    • Activating your @myCambrian email account
    • And more!
  • Clear any conditions on your offer – these can be found on the ‘Applicant’ tab in your myCambrian account. If you have questions about conditions, email admissions@cambriancollege.ca.
  • Check the ‘Applicant’ or ‘Student’ tabs in your myCambrian account for any program-specific requirements.
  • Check your eligibility for scholarships and bursaries by completing the short survey in the ‘Finance myEducation’ section in myCambrian.
  • Applying for OSAP? Apply early to ensure funds are in on time for payment deadlines. More info can be found at ontario.ca/osap.

Student supports and services

You can rest easy knowing you’re not alone on your college journey. Our many free student supports and services are available to ensure you’re successful during your time here.

Affording college

Paying for college expenses may feel out of reach, but don’t let that stop you from pursuing your dreams. There are probably more ways to finance your education than you think, so let us help you.

Books and supplies

You may be required to purchase books and supplies for your courses. Once you have selected your timetable (which will become available to you a few weeks before your classes begin as part of online registration), you will gain access to your booklist. You can purchase what you need for school at cambrianshop.ca or by visiting our on-campus bookstore.

If you need information about the cost of books and supplies, please email your program coordinator. Their contact info can be found on your program’s web page.

    Residence

    Living in residence is an experience you’ll never forget, and it all starts with Move-in Weekend! There will be music, a BBQ, and lots of energetic and friendly faces on site to help you unpack and get settled. Leave the heavy lifting to us…we’ve got this!

    Our fully furnished dorm and townhouse residences are located directly on campus and are just a short walk to restaurants, grocery stores, entertainment, pharmacies, walk-in clinics, and the largest shopping mall in northern Ontario.

    Check out floor plans, fees, and more. Applications are considered on a first-come, first-served basis, so apply now to secure your spot.

    Eating on campus

    There are many food locations on campus to satisfy your tastebuds! Whether you’re craving a snack; looking to grab breakfast, lunch, or dinner; or need a place to enjoy good food with friends or classmates, we’ve got you covered.

    Meal plans are available for purchase from Chartwells and the Student Life Centre. While not mandatory, meal plans are a great way to ensure funds are available to meet your nutritional needs.

    Are you an international student?

    The international student services team can assist you with your transition to Canada, navigating the Canadian education system, and throughout your time at Cambrian. The team will ensure that your experience is easy and enjoyable through an online orientation, immigration advising services, and more! The team is here to provide you with a strong community feeling and to help celebrate your global success and the successes of all students! Email any questions you have to international@cambriancollege.ca.

    PLAR and transfer credits

    If you think you may qualify for advanced standing in your program through Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) or transfer credits, be sure to contact us as soon as possible to determine your eligibility and initiate the process before you begin your studies.

    Tour our campus

    Book a campus tour to see where your classes are and get a lay of the land before you start school. We can book you a personalized tour so that you’re checking out just the spots on campus that you want to see. You can also explore our campus online through our virtual tour at your leisure.
