Cambrian College is Once Again Hosting its Annual Spring Open House

Mar 18, 2025

SUDBURY – It’s that time of year again. Besides warmer weather, and grass and flowers poking through the snow, another sure sign of the season is Spring Open House at Cambrian College.

This year’s Spring Open House is Saturday, April 5, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

It is a go-to event for students who have accepted their offer for this year, or for potential students who are still thinking of applying to Cambrian College.

“Spring Open House is one of our largest events and it is so exciting to see the enthusiasm on campus that day,” says Renee Scott, Cambrian’s Director of Marketing, Recruitment and Student Success. “We have a day packed with amazing activities and Spring Open House gives people a real sense of what the Cambrian experience is, when it comes to our programs, student services, and campus life.”

This year’s Spring Open House includes:

  • Campus tours.
  • Academic program information booths.
  • Student services information booths.
  • Application station: if you are a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant, apply on the spot and we will pay your application fee.
  • Free food: visit all the food stations for the chance to win a $250 gift card.
  • Swag station: if you have already received an offer for a program at Cambrian between May and September of 2025, drop by our swag station for a Cambrian-branded backpack.
  • Fitness challenge: watch Cambrian staff and students take on a pro-level obstacle course.
  • Headframe competition: Watch our Civil Engineering students test their skills in the 26th annual headframe challenge!

Guests travelling to Spring Open House from outside Greater Sudbury could be eligible for a $50 gas card. You must register before 11:59 p.m., March 31.

There are also prizes at Spring Open House. Attend the event for your chance to win $10,000, a firepit built by Cambrian College students, a pizza oven, or a $1,000 scholarship!

“Given the current economic climate, having a marketable skill set is more important than ever,” adds Janice Clarke, Vice-President Academic. “We offer more than 100 programs, including degree-level programs in Nursing, Business Administration, and Psychology. We work with industry partners and employers to ensure our students develop the knowledge and skills to meet the demands of the labour market, locally and across Canada.”
