SUDBURY – Cambrian College has celebrated its longest-serving employees, newest retirees and outstanding service by individuals.

Cambrian held its annual Rendez-Vous employee appreciation event this past Friday, where it honoured employees with 20 or more years of service, this year’s retirees and employees who made an exemplary contribution to the college in the past year.

“Behind the success of students are amazing faculty and staff who work tirelessly to support student success,” says Alison De Luisa, Vice-President of Human Resources, Student Services and International at Cambrian College. “It is really important to come together to recognize and celebrate our amazing employees.”

At Rendez-Vous, Cambrian honoured 17 new retirees and 24 employees who have been with Cambrian for at least 20 years, including one employee who reached the 40-year plateau this year.

Another highlight of Rendez-Vous is the presentation of the President’s Awards for Excellence for outstanding contributions over the previous year.

This year’s winners are:
Faculty Category: Jenna Guse
Jenna is a professor and program coordinator in the Business Administration program. She played a key role in developing Cambrian’s new Bachelor of Business Administration programs. Jenna has also been a team coach for students taking part in the Ontario College Marketing Competition, Enactus Regionals, and HEAD Analytics competition.

While undertaking these projects, each team member continued to perform their regular, daily duties. It was an example of college-wide collaboration.

“Our students succeed because our employees succeed, and we truly have an amazing team at Cambrian,” says President Kristine Morrissey. “I want to congratulate this year’s award winners, employees who have reached milestones in their careers, and our retirees who have given us their best working years. I am grateful for them and for all of our employees. They truly make the difference here at Cambrian.”
