Good Business Cents: Cambrian College Offers Scholarships for New Business Administration Degree Program

SUDBURY – With the holiday season over, many potential students are focusing on what college or university they want to attend in 2023.

For those considering a career in Business, Cambrian College is offering a couple of compelling new reasons to enrol in its new four-year Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program.

Students who enroll full time in the first semester of the program, beginning this September, will automatically qualify for a $1,000 entrance scholarship.

“We’re excited to be offering degree-level programming and we really want the best and brightest students, who want to earn a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, to come to Cambrian,” says Dr. Paula Gouveia, Cambrian’s Vice-President Academic. “These same students will be eligible to receive a second $1,000 award when they enter their second semester in January 2024, provided they earned a grade point average of 75 percent or better in their first semester of studies and are continuing on as full-time students.”

Students in Cambrian’s BBA program can choose a major in one of three areas of specialization (Accounting, Data Analytics, Digital Marketing), or opt for a General Business Administration degree. The Accounting stream is also recognized by Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) Ontario, meaning it is a clear pathway into the accounting profession.

For those who already have a college diploma in a business-related field but are interested in continuing their studies and earning a degree, Cambrian’s BBA program is also the perfect choice. Business diploma graduates may be eligible to receive advanced placement in the program with up to two full year’s credit, which means they may be eligible to enter the new BBA program in semester 5 (start of year 3).
