Earn a nursing career and become a health care leader!

Nursing is the cornerstone of the health care system. Good nurses are excellent communicators with genuine compassion and patience. Cambrian offers a rich curriculum designed to prepare you for a gratifying career in the demanding yet inspirational field of nursing.

Improve the daily lives of those who live in a facility as a personal support worker (PSW), an in-demand caregiving profession that provides dignity to an aging population. Or sharpen your skills in our registered practical nurse (RPN) program that combines hands-on training with a solid foundation in nursing theory and is approved by the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO). Our program offers real-world experience in clinical placements throughout the community, and you’ll be eligible to apply as an RPN in Ontario.

Are you already an RPN in good standing? Advance your nursing career and earning potential through our bridging program. You can upskill to become a registered nurse (RN) by completing one bridge semester and entering directly into year three of our Honours Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) program.

Cambrian’s School of Nursing now offers a stand-alone BScN program, a college degree that carries the same weight as a university BScN. Cambrian’s immersive honours program emphasizes leadership development, interprofessionalism, health promotion, and acute care. Our high-tech nursing simulation lab trains you to excel in the rapidly changing and complex health care environment and allows grads to apply to become an RN. Whatever extent of training you choose, a rewarding, well-paid nursing career is always in demand.

Programs in the School of Nursing

"Graduating from the Registered Nursing Program in 1995, Cambrian College equipped me with the skills, knowledge and confidence to work successfully as a Registered Nurse. Directly out of school, I started my home care company and later my Occupational Testing clinic called Total Nursing Care Inc. Over the last 28 years we have hired hundreds of Cambrian graduates and have built a reputation for excellence in the delivery of healthcare services. Thank you Cambrian College, I couldn’t have done this without YOU."
