Program Overview
Walk out of the classroom and into a business career
Arm yourself with the skills you need in human resources, marketing, entrepreneurship, finance, and operations to become a vital player in any sized business. Or venture out on your entrepreneurial journey bolstered by a strong foundation of solid skills. Choose to specialize in marketing, management, or business planning in your third year.
You’ll be guided by industry-experienced professors throughout the program. Finally, an unpaid real-world placement in your last semester will put your skills to the test as you build your résumé and develop relationships in your chosen field.

For graduates of the new curriculum (OSS): Ontario Secondary School Diploma (30 credits) or equivalent or mature student status, including:
- Any grade 12 English (C) or (U)

Vale – During this Business Administration placement the students helped with the daily activities of the Inbound Logistics/Inventory Management team. This team is responsible for managing and controlling the inventory of MRO (maintenance, repair, and operation) parts, determining stock levels, reviewing items’ criticalities/obsolescence, running replenishment, and interacting with internal customers, other stakeholders, and vendors.
Emcon Services Inc. – Emcon Services Inc. is a proud Canadian-based company with over 30 years of success as an interprovincial Road and Bridge Maintenance Contractor. During this placement, the key expectations in this position were confidentiality, accuracy, and the ability to maintain positive working relationships with employees, supervisors, agencies, and the public. The students got to experience using confidentiality in all matters, as well as presenting a professional company image.
TESC Contracting Company Ltd. – The Marketing Assistant placement opportunity played an integral role in supporting the Business Development team at TESC by identifying key opportunities for expansion and growth. The students were also responsible for the preparation of marketing materials that were used to increase the overall awareness of the business. The individual compiled industry information, formulated reports, and provided substantiated recommendations to the Leadership Team based upon the research findings. Additionally, the individual prepared project profiles to use as future promotional material for clients and prospects. This position interacted with various departments throughout the organization as well as external industry representatives to collect information and prepare materials.

Honours Bachelor of Business Administration – advanced standing opportunity
Graduates from this program (or equivalent) meeting a 2.5 GPA requirement are eligible for advanced standing in the Honours Bachelor of Business Administration program and will receive direct entry into Year 3 and have a potential to receive additional transfer credits.
College or university degree opportunities
If you are a graduate of this program, you may continue your studies at a college or university and you may receive credit(s) for your prior college education. Refer to Cambrian’s college and university agreement details for further information.
