Cambrian College hosts OCAA Men’s Volleyball Final Fours

Feb 21, 2025

The Cambrian Shield men’s volleyball team is hosting the OCAA championships this weekend. Cambrian’s semi-final game against St. Clair College will be played in the Cambrian gym Saturday at 6:30 p.m. The gold and bronze medal games begin at 1 p.m. on Sunday.

Not only is Cambrian hosting the event, the Shield are playing in the final-four medal round.

Cambrian is the two-time defending bronze medalist, and will be hosting St. Clair College at 6 p.m. on Saturday in one of the semi-final matches.

“We are so excited to host the final four this year, and it would be fantastic for the men’s team to win its third straight medal on home court,” says Tim Yu, Cambrian’s Manager of Athletics. “Three of our men’s players, two of our women’s players, and our head coach earned OCAA All-Star honours this year, so winning a medal at home would be a great way to cap off a fantastic season for Cambrian’s volleyball program. We hope people come out to our gym to watch some incredible high-level volleyball.”

The final four tournament begins Saturday afternoon at 3:30 p.m., when Humber plays Fanshawe, followed by Cambrian hosting St. Clair at 6 p.m.

Sunday features the medal games. The bronze medal game gets underway at 1 p.m., while the gold medal match takes starts at 3:30 p.m.

All games are taking place in Cambrian’s gym, and the public is invited to attend. The matches can also be followed online at www.ocaa.com.
