Cambrian College Hosts Alumni Night at Sudbury Charities Foundation’s Festival of Lights at Science North

Dec 2, 2024

SUDBURY – Cambrian College is inviting all alumni and their families to the Festival of Lights at Science North on Wednesday, December 4, from 6 to 10 p.m. Cambrian representatives will be on-site handing out free hot chocolate and new Cambrian swag.

In recognition of the holiday spirit, Cambrian College has also made a donation on behalf of alumni and friends attending the event..

“We’re thrilled to offer this gesture of thanks to our alumni,” says Melanie Cacciotti, Cambrian’s Executive Director of Development. “This is a celebration of the Cambrian spirit, and we can’t wait to see our alumni and their families come together to enjoy this magical evening and kick off the holidays.”

The Festival of Lights, hosted annually by Science North, has once again been brightened by contributions from Cambrian’s students and researchers. Students in the Powerline Technician program assisted with the set-up, while Cambrian R&D added new illuminated features, including a majestic moose and a playful polar bear.

“This event is all about coming together as a community,” says Brandi Braithwaite, Cambrian’s Director of Alumni and Development “We’re celebrating the season, our shared connection to Cambrian, and the joy of giving back to the community.”

The evening is also open to Cambrian’s current staff, faculty, students, and donors, providing a opportunity for everyone in the Cambrian community to connect, celebrate, and enjoy the holiday spirit.

While a donation on behalf of alumni has already been made, those wishing to make additional contributions to the Sudbury Charities Foundation on-site welcome.
