Cambrian College Celebrates Giving Tuesday by Prioritizing Equipment Renewal Fund for Student Success
Nov 27, 2024
SUDBURY – As the holiday season approaches, more people are pausing to reflect on giving back and supporting the causes that matter most in their communities. That’s the purpose of Giving Tuesday, a global movement encouraging generosity and community support.
This year, Cambrian College is putting the spotlight on its Equipment Renewal Fund as a top priority. The fund ensures that students have access to cutting-edge technology and equipment in classrooms, labs, and workshops, helping them gain the skills they need to excel in today’s workforce.
“Giving Tuesday is an impactful day for Cambrian,” says Melanie Cacciotti, Cambrian’s Executive Director of Development. “Access to modern technology and equipment is critical for student success. The Equipment Renewal Fund allows us to stay ahead of industry trends and provide hands-on learning opportunities that prepare our graduates for their careers.”
While the Equipment Renewal Fund is this year’s priority, Cambrian donors can also direct their contributions to any area of the college that aligns with their personal passions, such as supporting student scholarships and bursaries or specific programs.
“We are grateful for every donation, no matter the amount,” Cacciotti adds. “By investing in areas like equipment renewal, donors are ensuring that our students receive the education and training needed to succeed, which ultimately benefits us all.”
