Parker Hannifin Boosts Cambrian College’s Electric Vehicle Lab and Heavy Equipment and Truck and Coach Programs with Significant Contribution

Parker Hannifin has donated equipment to Cambrian College’s Heavy Equipment Technician and Truck and Coach Technician programs, and has contributed to the equipping of Cambrian R&D’s new Electric Vehicle (EV) Lab. Sudbury – Cambrian College is proud to announce a substantial donation from Parker Hannifin, a global leader renowned for over a century in motion and control technologies, providing precision-engineered solutions for a variety of mobile, industrial and aerospace markets. This generous contribution is comprised of a variety of hydraulic hardware, controllers, electrification components, as well as associated software licenses and training for faculty. The integration of this equipment will amplify Cambrian’s capacity to provide cutting-edge education in Electric Vehicle maintenance and training within its Heavy Equipment Technician and Motive Power Technician -Truck and Coach programs.

“We are pleased to partner with Cambrian College through our donation of state-of-the art mobile electrification equipment,” says Parker Hannifin’s National Sales Manager Mark Scholz. “This underscores Parker Hannifin’s commitment to supporting education and innovation in mobile electrification on the next generation of mining equipment.”

In addition to the equipment and training support, Parker Hannifin has also made a donation toward the construction of Cambrian College’s new Electric Vehicle Lab, located within the college’s Centre for Smart Mining in the Glencore Centre for Innovation. This state-of-the-art facility serves as a hub for innovative research and development, fostering collaboration between academia and industry.

In recognition of Parker’s remarkable generosity, Cambrian College will acknowledge the company in one of its industrial training labs, now named the Parker Heavy Equipment and Truck and Coach Lab.
