Rendez-vous is our celebration of Cambrian College employees who are retiring this year or who have reached milestones in their careers of 20, 25, 30, 35, and 40 years of service.

Rendez-vous also features the President’s Awards for Excellence, honouring outstanding contributions to the college in categories such as Faculty, Support Staff, Administration, and Team.

President’s Award for Excellence Winners 2026

The President’s Awards for Excellence acknowledge staff who have been exemplary in their efforts to achieve their own professional goals, and who have inspired others to set and achieve the highest standards. More importantly, they recognize the significant contributions of staff in shaping the educational and career goals of our students.

Faculty category: Nathan Abourbih

Nathan Abourbih is a professor and program coordinator in the School of Information Technology whose impact extends far beyond the classroom. With more than 14 years of industry experience, he creates dynamic, real-world learning environments that prepare students for success.

Nathan is a leader in innovation, driving AI literacy, organizing hackathons, and fostering strong connections between students, faculty, and industry.

Known for his generosity, collaboration, and unwavering support for learners – even after graduation – Nathan exemplifies excellence in teaching and community building.

Support Staff category: Jade Found

Jade Found is a creative leader and accessibility champion whose work has elevated teaching, learning, and design across Cambrian College. As a graphic designer in the Teaching and Learning Innovation Hub, she transforms ideas into engaging, inclusive, and highly effective materials that enhance both student and faculty experiences.

A recognized expert in accessible design, Jade mentors colleagues, leads workshops, and contributes to initiatives that advance equity and innovation.

Her ability to anticipate needs, solve problems, and bring people together makes her an indispensable part of the Cambrian community.

Administrator category: Pamela Teed

Pamela Teed, Chair of the Schools of Information Technology and Creative Industries, is a transformative leader whose impact is felt across Cambrian College.

Blending strategic vision with genuine care for people, Pamela removes barriers, empowers her teams, and drives results. She has led major academic initiatives, expanded program offerings, and strengthened connections between education and industry, all while fostering a culture of trust, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Her proactive leadership and commitment to student and faculty success define what excellence in administration truly looks like.

Outstanding service by an individual category: Kelly McDonald

Kelly McDonald, the Manager of Student and Staff Systems, has been the driving force behind the successful launch of Cambrian’s new myCambrian intranet.

From early consultation to final implementation, Kelly led every stage of this complex, college-wide initiative – developing training resources, delivering sessions to staff and students, troubleshooting issues, and serving as a key liaison with vendors.

Known for her tireless commitment, collaborative spirit, and positive leadership, Kelly has been the glue that brought teams together and ensured the success of one of the college’s most significant digital transformations.

Outstanding service by a team category: Learning Strategists in the Learning Centre

Kristi Haddad – Learning Strategist
Lindsay Fricker – Learning Strategist

Kristi Haddad and Lindsay Fricker, Learning Strategists in the Learning Centre, are being recognized for their outstanding leadership in creating the Breakfast Club program, an initiative that has become a cornerstone of student support at Cambrian.

By combining academic skill-building with community connection, they have created a welcoming space where students develop confidence, belonging, and success strategies.

Through tireless advocacy, collaboration across departments, and a deep commitment to student well-being, Kristi and Lindsay have built a program that continues to inspire and transform the student experience.
