  • Paint a Northern Ontario Landscape Like the Group of Seven

    Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 2 to 5 p.m.

    Learn the techniques for painting bold, vibrant landscapes in the style of the Group of Seven and Tom Thomson. These iconic artists and their work have spotlighted Northern Ontario for its profound beauty, but they did it in a style never seen before. This acrylic painting workshop will show you the skills and mediums needed to mimic the sensuous texture of an oil painting with the convenience of acrylic. Novices and experienced artists alike are welcome. All supplies will be provided. You will be guided by seasoned landscape painter Catherine Jaftha.

  • The Butterfly Effect: Small Actions for Sustainable Change

This session is inspired by the “butterfly effect” – the idea that small intentional actions can contribute to significant change and the principle of “thinking globally and acting locally”. You will explore how small everyday actions through lifestyle choices, consumer habits, and community engagement can create meaningful positive change for communities, ecosystems, and even global challenges.     Learn the beginning basics on how to golf. Classroom instruction combined with practical application at the golf range.

  • Colour Outside the Lines: Watercolour for Beginners

    Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 2 to 5 p.m.

    Paint a spring watercolour scene and learn the basics of using watercolours to make your own art.
