Leadership Development

Growth Mindset
DESCRIPTION

We fundamentally believe that we need a culture founded in growth mindset.” Satya Nadella, CEO Microsoft

Stanford psychology professor Carol S. Dweck studied for more than 20 years, how our beliefs influence how we act.  She discovered that one of the key success differentiations is whether people have a fixed or a growth mindset.

From judgements to curiosity, growth mindset tendencies put you into a place of learning and keep you solution focused.  Challenge your fixed mindset beliefs.  Identify your triggers and practice redirecting from judger path to learner path.  Learn to cultivate your curiosity.

Cultivating curiosity and growth mindset will enable you to persevere in the face of setbacks and obstacles, support you in valuing effort and personal mastery, and keep you open to feedback and learning from others and many other factors that lead to success.

Emotional Intelligence by Daniel Goleman cites a number of studies proving Emotional Intelligence is a more significant predictor than IQ in determining “success” in life. Namely, EQ accounts for 80% and IQ accounts for 20%.
