Cambrian College Gears Up for a New Academic Year

Posted on Thursday September 2, 2021

SUDBURY – It’s that time of year. Days are getting shorter, nights are getting cooler and students are getting back into school mode.

Cambrian College is getting ready to welcome students back to class, virtually and in-person.

The college’s annual Fall Orientation is underway. It is being held virtually, with a number of events geared to get everybody in the mood for another year of post-secondary education, and immerse students in campus life and the Cambrian experience.

Anyone who signs up for the Virtual Orientation before 11:59 p.m. EST on Friday, September 10, 2021, will be entered into a draw for a chance to win a $1,000 scholarship!

Fall Orientation events can be accessed through the students’ myCambrian portal and include:

  • The virtual Ask Me desk for any questions about academics and campus life
  • My First Week Photo Contest – A Worldwide Tour
  • The Cambrian Chase Scavenger Hunt
  • Meet and Greet
  • Residence move-in weekend, complete with a DJ and food truck

Residence move-in weekend (September 3-4) will also feature an all-day mobile COVID-19 vaccination clinic, available to students, employees, and the general public.

All Fall Orientation events on campus will continue to follow all COVID-19 infection-control measures such as wearing of masks on campus and physical distancing.
