The new members were introduced at this week’s Board meeting, held at Cambrian’s Barrydowne campus. Three of the new members are Cambrian alumni.
The six new members are:

The role of the board is to provide Cambrian College with strategic leadership and direction. This includes determining Cambrian’s overall goals and objectives, approving and evaluating the college’s strategic plan, and approving its annual budget.
The Board’s new Executive for this year includes Ron Sarazin (Board Chair, Chair of the Circle for Indigenous Education), Kati McCartney (Vice Chair), Glen Retty (Chair, Audit Committee, Past Chair), and Paul Pedersen (Chair, Governance Committee).
Other members of the board include Cambrian President Bill Best, Nicole Beauparlant, Bruce Bichel, Cheryl Ann Corallo, Daryl Park, and Jessica Valiquette.
“I want to welcome our new members to our Board of Directors,” says Board Chair Ron Sarazin. “Each of our new governors brings dynamic experience, insight and a unique perspective, covering everything from student affairs to business to public service. I am especially delighted that half of our new members are graduates of Cambrian. We’re looking forward to their contributions to the college.”
