SUDBURY – Want to make your community safer, healthier, greener, and more prosperous?
This September, Cambrian College is launching six new programs geared to meeting the increasing demand for specific skills in the fields of business, environmental studies, health care, social services, and crime prevention.
The new diploma programs include:
Social Service Worker – Indigenous Specialization (4 semesters, one of only two colleges with this specialization)
Become an effective counsellor in a manner that is culturally aware and respectful of the realities facing Indigenous peoples.
Environmental Technician (5 semesters)
Explore climate change issues, land restoration and water conservation and management to prepare for a career in Canada’s growing environmental sector.
For students who already have a college diploma or post-secondary degree, Cambrian is also offering a number of new graduate certificates that students can complete online or in-class:
Business Analytics (3 semesters, first program of its kind in northern Ontario)
Become a specialist in managing, interpreting, analyzing and presenting data to support decision-based processes for all types and sizes of organizations.
Crime Analytics (3 semesters, first college to offer this as a post-secondary credential)
Learn to examine patterns of criminal behavior to predict activity, identify threats in your community, and help allocate your organization’s resources more effectively.
Health Analytics (3 semesters, first college in Ontario to offer this graduate certificate)
Gain the skills to use population data to understand the health of your community and to proactively plan for future health care needs.
Community and Health Services Navigation (3 semesters, first college in Ontario to offer this graduate certificate)
Become a go-to expert on the various supports and services available within community agencies and the health care system to help clients and their families make the right choices for their care.

Cambrian College is northeastern Ontario’s largest college. Each of Cambrian’s programs has a defined pathway to another post-secondary institution, making it easier for Cambrian students to pursue further education.
