The Canada-Ontario Job Grant has been available to employers since 2014 and is a government-funded subsidy that offsets the cost of training new and existing employees.
If you wish to provide training for your employees, the grant will:
- Fund two-thirds of eligible training costs, to a maximum of $10,000 per employee (eligible training costs could include tuition and fees, textbooks, materials, etc.)
- Give you the flexibility to choose the job-specific training that’s right for your organization
Training must be delivered by an eligible, third-party trainer, must not exceed one year in duration, and must be delivered in Ontario for jobs that are located in Ontario.
