Employer Award of Distinction – Employer Recognition

Students enrol at Cambrian College each year with the aspiration of gaining employment and starting a career. We cannot help students meet this objective without the relationships and partnerships Cambrian College has created and maintained with our valued employers. Local, provincial, and national employers in a variety of industries have demonstrated their commitment to Cambrian College by hiring our students and graduates each year. The Employer Award of Distinction recognizes employers who have made an outstanding contribution to Cambrian College, its students, and/or academic programming. We look forward to celebrating this year’s nominees and winners at the Welcome Ceremony of the Annual Career Fair Conference.

We will also hear from our guest speaker Graham Sherman. Graham Sherman is a self-professed “high level geek” and co-founder of the Tool Shed Brewing Company. Graham has been nominated as Canadian Entrepreneur of the Year, was named one of Calgary’s “top 40 under 40” and received the 2018 Business in Calgary Leaders award.

Graham will discuss why collaboration beats competition. In this high-energy presentation, Sherman shares why adopting a collaborative approach, even with your competitors, can actually be a healthier way to do business, and lead to exponential growth and a loyal customer base.
