Sheri Tomchick

Sheri is the visionary behind one of Ontario’s leading Long Term Care staffing strategies which includes Plan A Long Term Care Staffing and Recruitment, the largest health care staffing company in Ontario and StaffStat, an innovative shift-filling software that is being used in hospitals, nursing homes and community livings across Canada.

As a volunteer for the Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce, Sheri has helped to develop initiatives such as Business RX – a focus group for local entrepreneurs.  She is also the presenter of the Chamber’s Networking Bootcamp where she shares her strategies for building a solid network with new business owners.  Sheri has recently taken on a mentorship opportunity with the Northern Leadership program so that she could share her passion for a strong entrepreneurial base in any sector.

Sheri was the 2014 winner of the Bell Business Excellence award for Entrepreneur of the Year and the 2016 Northern Ontario Business award for Entrepreneur of the Year.  She also won the People’s Choice award at the NORCAT Innovation Mill’s inaugural Pitch event, where she pitched her software, StaffStat.  She is continuously involved in personal and professional development and enjoys community focused events and volunteer opportunities.

Sheri loves life in the north and champions life, business and raising a family in Sudbury every where she goes.  In her free time, she enjoys making memories with her family, snuggling her beloved chihuahua Zoe, relaxing at camp, treasure hunting with her daughter and taking advantage of the unique experience’s life in Northern Ontario has to offer.
