Academic and Career Entrance (ACE)

Cambrian College’s community-based delivery ACE program gives you the skills you need to enter a college program or apprenticeship or to improve your job prospects. It is recognized by all colleges in Ontario and by many employers who require Grade 12* as a requirement from potential employees. This program can be delivered in your community and is the first step on a pathway to success!

Choose this program if you:

  • Don’t have a grade 12 diploma
  • Completed grade 12 some time ago and need to refresh your skills
  • Have a grade 12 diploma but lack specific subjects needed to enter a college program

Future opportunities include:

  • Post-secondary studies
  • Skills training or apprenticeship programs
  • Direct entry into the job market

  • ENG 0340 English III
  • MTH 0280 Math II
  • ACE 0400 ACE Communications
  • ACE 0303 ACE Core Math – General
  • ACE 0402 ACE Self-Management/Self-Direction
  • ACE 0401 ACE Computers

* ACE is not the same as the GED. The ACE program provides you with an opportunity to brush up or learn the skills you need to be successful in college or the workforce. The GED is a test that provides individuals with an opportunity to demonstrate that they already have high school level knowledge and skills.
