SUDBURY - Cambrian College was honoured on the national stage last week in Canada’s largest city, receiving the 2017 Award of Excellence from Electricity Human Resources Canada (EHRC).
At EHRC’s annual awards banquet in Toronto, Cambrian earned the Award of Excellence for Innovation in Resource Practices in the Education category.
“We were recognized for our excellence in training students in our Power Line Technician, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Techniques, and Power Engineering programs,” says Phil Adams, Chair of Cambrian’s Schools of Skills Training. “It was a result of a lot of hard work by the excellent staff and faculty at Cambrian along with our community partners including Vale Canada, Electrical Power and Transmission Construction and Gezhtoojig Employment and Training in Sudbury. This honour was a true team effort.”
