Cambrian College is pleased to announce that Dr. June Raymond has been named Dean of the Schools of Health Sciences, Nursing, and Emergency Services.
June is an inspiring leader, academic, and advocate with progressive experience across the health sciences spectrum. As a professor in Cambrian’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing program since 2009, and most recently, Interim Chair of the School of Health Sciences and Emergency Services, her perspective, leadership, and experience will bring a new level of expertise to the department.
“I am pleased to welcome June to this pivotal role. As Dean, she will be responsible for guiding and implementing the Schools’ and the College’s strategic direction and maintaining a student-centered focus,” said Jean Brown, Vice President, Academic. “June’s proven ability to build strong relationships across the College and in communities around the region will be invaluable as the College continues to enhance learning opportunities and forge new partnerships.”
Raymond holds a PhD in Nursing from Queen’s University and a Master of Science in Nursing from York University and is a graduate of Cambrian College’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. Outside of teaching and academics, she is also an advocate for the disabled having founded the Northern Sliders Sledge Hockey Association 20 years ago.
