Cambrian students have given their College high marks when it comes to student satisfaction, according to the 2016-17 Key Performance Indicators (KPI) survey released on April 19. Students rated Cambrian above the provincial average of all 24 Ontario community colleges in three categories:
|Student Satisfaction - Knowledge & Skills||88.6%||86.9%|
|Student Satisfaction - Learning Experiences||81.8%||79.5%|
Cambrian President Bill Best is pleased that the majority of the students surveyed indicated high levels of satisfaction and that the results are consistent with provincial satisfaction scores. “Cambrian, and the college system as a whole, is focused on helping people to choose and to prepare for satisfying careers, and the KPI data released today supports this,” said President Bill Best.
The provincial government and the colleges have been gathering annual data since 1998, and the internal measures and information gathered from the KPI surveys are used to continually enhance the student experience. “The positive results we are seeing today is thanks to the efforts of our dedicated faculty and staff, as well as our employer and industry partners who continually focus on making the learning and work experience rewarding for students and graduates,” Best added.
Students choose college programs to develop technical skills and to gain experience that will lead to a promising career. Cambrian’s KPI results show that 82 percent of graduates find employment after six months of graduation – another strong showing that is consistent with the provincial results.
