On February 9, eight first-year students from southern Ontario were presented with a $1,000 entrance incentive from Study North. Two other students received the incentive but were not able to attend the presentation.
Each of the students has a home address in southern Ontario, making them eligible to apply for Study North incentives that are designed to encourage southern Ontario students to visit, and ultimately attend, one of six northern Ontario colleges, including Cambrian.
Study North incentives available for 2017-18 students
Cambrian, as one of the partners in the Study North initiative, is encouraging potential students and their families to discover the benefits of learning and living in the north.
Through the program, prospective students with a home address that includes a postal code beginning with the letter K, L, M, or N, and who are considering studying at a northern Ontario college in fall 2017, may apply for a $500 travel rebate through the Study North website.
Visiting Cambrian’s campus and Residence gives prospective students a first-hand look at what the College and Sudbury have to offer. To find out why thousands of students choose to study at Cambrian every year, book a tour online or visit during the College’s Spring Open House on Saturday, April 8.
