Jean Brown will serve as Vice President Academic until 2018

Cambrian College has announced that Jean Brown will serve as the College’s Vice President Academic (VPA) until 2018, providing consistent leadership to the academic division.

Brown is known as an inspiring leader who has held a number of progressive roles over the course of her distinguished career at Cambrian. She began as a professor and also served as a program coordinator, Dean, and has been serving as Interim VPA since July 2016.  Brown has been recognized for her leadership and professional contributions to the College throughout her career. She was presented with the President’s Award for Excellence in 1994, 2003 and 2015.

Brown holds a B.A. in Psychology and Sociology as well as a Bachelor of Education degree in Special Education, from the University of Manitoba. She also holds a Master of Arts degree in Child and Development Studies from Laurentian University, in addition to other academic credentials. She is active in the Sudbury community and in the Ontario college system as a volunteer on numerous boards and as a professional resource.
