Cambrian College has joined the global charitable movement called GivingTuesday, a day dedicated to coming together to make a difference. On the heels of Black Friday and Cyber Monday - two days that are supposed to be good for the economy - GivingTuesday is a day that's good for the global community.
Each year more students, faculty, staff, alumni, corporate partners and friends in the community join together to support Cambrian and its students. In fact, at Cambrian, we are calling GivingTuesday our “Day of Good” – our own movement to celebrate the cause of higher education and the good we can achieve together.
Funds raised on Giving Tuesday are directed to the Cambrian College student food bank and our hardship bursary.
Today, approximately 25 per cent of all college applicants report annual household incomes of $30,000 or less. At Cambrian College, we believe everyone deserves the life advantages that an education brings, regardless of the socioeconomic background. Education is the great equalizer. It builds successful lives, and Cambrian strives to bring this advantage to all of our students.
On Giving Tuesday, November 28th, please join us by making a generous gift of $25, $50, $100, or an amount you are comfortable with.
Your gift will help level the playing field for Cambrian College students, and help them achieve their full potential.
