How can you help eliminate sexual violence? Students are encouraged to attend this event to hear from Dr. Rachel Alicia Griffin, Ph.D., an advocate against sexual violence for more than a decade.

How to Overcome Sexual Assault / Violence and Change Campus Culture

Dr. Griffin is an Associate Professor in the Department of Communication Studies at Southern Illinois University (SIU), cross-appointed in Africana Studies and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. As a critical intercultural scholar, her research interests span Black feminist thought, critical race theory, popular culture, sport, education, and sexual violence.

She has delivered well over 100 anti-sexual violence and Inclusive Excellence presentations on campuses and at conferences nationally and internationally.

Students will receive a Co-curricular Record for attending this event.
