Non-Smoking Policy

Cambrian College’s Non-smoking Policy, in part, states:

Smoking, which includes e-cigarettes, is not permitted in any Cambrian-owned vehicle or building, except in specifically designated area. The front entrance to Cambrian College is entirely smoke-free, as well as the main entrance to Trades

Other entrances to the College continue to be governed by the City of Greater Sudbury Smoke-Free Public Places and Workplaces By-Law 2002-300 that states that smoking is not permitted within a 9-metre (30-foot) radius of any entrance.

Enforcement procedures

Campus Security will issue tickets to those smoking in non-designated smoking areas. Infractions will result in a $50 fine, which can be paid in the Registrar’s office. Failure to pay the fine will result in other punitive measures.

For the Health of It

Cambrian College’s Non-smoking Policy is intended to provide a safe and healthy environment, to prevent damage to College property, and to comply with the City of Greater Sudbury Smoke-Free Public Places and Workplaces By-Law 2002-300.
